We invite students of other law schools with strong academic credentials, notable experience and an entrepreneurial drive to submit their resume for consideration.
We believe in giving our summer associates meaningful insight into the practice
of law and what it is like to be an attorney at BWCA. As with our associates,
summer associates are assigned substantive work from their first day of arrival
at the firm. We trust the research and writing abilities of our summer associates
and place them on important matters with senior attorneys. We try to find ways
to expose our summer associates to client contact, whether it be through a
letter, on the telephone or in a meeting. We also make every effort to include
our summer associates in court appearances, trials, administrative hearings,
city and agency meetings, and coordinate their work assignments to relate to
these appearances and meetings so they are meaningful for the summer associate.
We also plan many social events during the summer so that our summer associates
and attorneys can get to know each other better on a personal level, although
there is plenty of opportunity for socialization in the hallways and during
informal gatherings. Our goal is to provide law students with a realistic
view of associate life at the firm, while making sure the summer associate
also has a fun and memorable experience.
