We routinely handle California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) compliance matters and defense and prosecution of CEQA litigation for both public and private clients. Redevelopment projects, whether or not they include hazardous waste, cost recovery and remediation issues, often deal with the intricacies of the CEQA process. This involves achieving the intended results within the context of strict statutory time frames and effectively working with the public notice and public participation process. Our CEQA work also involves reviewing and advising clients on negative declarations, environmental impact reports and working with consultants on framing proper responses during the public notice periods and the public hearing process.
