Housing
BWCA uses its unique public and private experience and expertise to creatively
assist clients with the financing and development of affordable housing, including
land acquisition, zoning and land use, relocation, entitlement, financing,
development and operation of affordable housing for both public and private
clients. Our projects have utilized a myriad of public and private financing
sources including tax credits, bond proceeds, state and federal (including
HUD) programs, redevelopment set-aside and conventional financing.
We have been involved in virtually every aspect of residential housing development, including public/private housing ventures, residential condominiums conversions, development of historic properties, development of artist lofts, and golf and master-planned communities.
Our attorneys have represented our clients during every step of the process including land acquisition, negotiating and documenting disposition and development agreements, leases, construction contracts, regulatory agreements, financing documents, deed restrictions and covenants, conditions and restrictions. Our representation has also included governmental compliance and procedural aspects of the projects including California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) land use entitlements, and public hearings, reports and findings under redevelopment law.
