BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
Ms. Leiter has a broad-based, sophisticated real estate practice representing
developers, businesses and not-for-profit corporations. Her areas of expertise
encompasses acquisitions and dispositions (including Section 1031 tax-deferred
transactions); commercial leasing (retail, office and restaurant), real estate
finance (including securitized lending and representing both borrowers and lenders);
redevelopment projects, construction contracts and pre-litigation dispute resolution.
Ms. Leiter began her career in New York City at Brown & Wood LLP, now known
as Sidley Austin LLP, and worked in the New York City offices of several other
national law firms prior to moving to California.

Ms. Leiter is a member of the State Bar of California and the Bar of the State
of New York.
EDUCATION
Ms. Leiter received her J.D. with honors from Rutgers University School of Law
- Camden where she was Articles Editor, Rutgers Law Journal 1987-88. She received
her B.A. from Hamilton College in 1981, with honors in Literature.
